Shane Downer

Shane Downer is a vastly experienced change specialist and educator.  Passionate about learning, he has designed and lead training projects across Europe, in the finance, health and education sectors.  He has also developed and delivered Leadership, Management & Entrepreneurship programmes for 3rd level students in Ireland, Malaysia & Indonesia.

 

Kilian Murphy

Working in the charity sector, Shane has founded and managed specialist services, and lead national advocacy organisations, as well as raising €2M in funding and investment for various causes.  As Chair of the Board, he is also leading the strategic development of an innovative Homelessness charity.

He is using statistical models to monitor and study Deer
population density and distribution in Ireland to provide data-driven management strategies. Obtaining an undergraduate degree in Trinity College Dublin and further work experience in consultancy both at home and abroad, he has developed a well-rounded skill set both in
the field and computationally. 

Kilian understands how to translate these skills in a teaching environment to ensure students comprehend and engage with the relevant materials. This understanding stems from his experience in teaching students’ concepts in programming and biology at UCD, his experience as a peer reviewer for a high-profile journal, and through project supervision of students.  He understands how to build a scientific skill set to stand out in an increasingly competitive job market and will help students to develop practical skills and portfolio projects to develop a well-versed CV.

Arif Bhuiyan

School of Business and Management

Arif Bhuiyan is currently working as a Financial Accountant at one of the national Banks in Ireland. He holds ACA qualification from Chartered Accountants Ireland. Besides this, he has also completed his MSc degree in Marketing from University College Dublin (UCD) Smurfit Graduate Business School and secured a first class first position in MBA in Finance from another university.

Arif Bhuiyan

For his outstanding academic performances, he was awarded the Prime Minister Gold Medal Award, a University Grant Commission Merit Scholarship, best Student Award in UCD Smurfit and Erasmus Mundus Scholarship from the European Union.

Arif has teaching experience at university level, and currently teaches ACA, ACCA and CPA students with excellent reviews. He previously worked for Deloitte Ireland and Citibank Dublin.



Kapal Dev

School of Coding and Computing

Kapal Dev is a Post-doc Research Fellow with the CONNECT Centre, School of Computer Science and Statistics at Trinity College Dublin. He obtained his PhD degree from Politecnico di Milano, Italy in July 2019. His research interests include Blockchain, 5G beyond Networks and Artificial Intelligence.

Previously, he worked as a 5G Junior Consultant and an Engineer at Altran Italia S.p.A, Milan and also worked as a Lecturer at an Asian University where he taught various electronics engineering courses.. More recently, he has been teaching computer programming while working as a Lab Instructor at Trinity College Dublin. 

Dr. Dev is a PI and Co-PI of four Erasmus + International Credit Mobility projects. He is currently editing and authoring a book for Springer Nature and has had a number of articles published in top scientific journals and conferences. He acts as an expert external evaluator of MSCA Co-Fund schemes. 



Sutirtha Chakraborty

School of Coding and computing

Sutirtha Chakraborty is currently working as a lecturer at Prudence College Dublin. Besides this, he
has been researching robot-human synchronization at National University of Ireland, Maynooth
(NUIM). He also worked as a lecturer in various colleges and universities for more than six years and
supervised projects of several graduate students.

Sutirtha Chakraborty

Sutirtha is an IBM Certified Advanced JAVA (J2EE) user having expertise in Java, Python and Machine
Learning. Meanwhile, he has published peer-reviewed articles in high impact factor journals, and
supervised a number of projects on Optical Character Recognition, Online tourism website, Smart
Mirror using Raspberry Pi, and LAN based attendance system. He enjoys working on Do It Yourself
(DIY) projects with sensors and participated in last year’s Mini-Maker Fair as part of the NUI Music
and AI Maynooth team.

Rafiqzzaman Liton

School of Coding and Computing

Rafiqzzaman Liton is a .Net Solution Architect who is currently leading a development team, as well as being responsible for planning and architecting several relevant projects. He is a Microsoft® Certified “Azure Architect Technologies” and Microsoft® Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) based on .NET. He has more than 10 years’ experience in software development.

Rafiqzzaman Liton

Rafiqzzaman has completed his Master and bachelor’s degrees in computer science and Engineering (CSE). He has been providing training on Microsoft Technologies to professionals for over 2 years and is very keen on delivering the BEST .Net Education and Training possible.  He likes to hike, watch sci-fi movies, and play video games.



Gabriela Torres

School of Languages and Culture

Gabriela is a CELTA certified English language teacher and holder of an Honours Bachelor degree in English Teaching. She worked for the most part of her life in Argentina, and now resides in Dublin, Ireland. She has taught English to speakers of other languages for over 5 years.

She has experience in designing course content and activities aimed at developing students’ overall communication skills. She is passionate about teaching and is committed to helping learners fulfil their potential.

Kilian Murphy is a postgraduate research scholar based in the Laboratory of Wildlife Ecology and Behaviour. His interests lie in using statistical and computational methods to study large mammals, especially the complicated relationships between predators and prey ecology in human-modified landscapes.
